Lemon Square Inipit Sylvanas

I already tried making sylvanas but I got difficulty in doing the meringue. So I tried to search for other options and looked for a ready made meringue but I cannot find anyone that sells it.

Then one time I saw “toasted cakes” in a bakeshop here. I bought some and it tastes good. This gave me an idea to use toasted cakes to make sylvanas. Instead of cakes, I used Lemon Square Inipit.

It's just easy. Toast in oven toaster and  pressed it using rolling pin to make it thinner.

Do the filling.

Spread the filling in between and coat the entire surface then roll over bread crumbs.

Chill and you have the Lemon Square Sylvanas.

Lemon Square Inipit Sylvanas

1 pack Lemon Square Inipit
¼  cup butter
1/8  cup evaporated milk
¼  cup confectioner’s sugar
¼ cup margarine

1. Cut Lemon Square Inipit horizontally.
2. Toast for about 1-2 minutes.
3. Press using roller pin to about ½ inch thick.
4. Cut each toasted Lemon Square Inipit into two.

Prepare the buttercream filling:
1. Combine butter, margarine and sugar.
2. Beat until smooth.
3. Slowly add evaporated milk.
4. Mix until creamy and fluffy.

Time to make the Sylvanas:
1. Spread on top of the toasted cake then top with another piece.
2. Spread buttermilk to cover all the surface.
3. Roll over cake crumb until fully coated.
4. Chill for at least and hour before serving.

“Sarap maging kid with Inipit!”
